Administration Welcome

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Esteemed Members of the Edmonds Elementary Community, 

I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Principal of Edmonds Elementary School.  It is with great pleasure and anticipation that I join this remarkable school community and have the privilege of working with all of you in providing a nurturing and engaging educational experience for our students. As we embark on this new academic year together, I would like to take a moment to share a little about my background and express my commitment to fostering a strong partnership between home and school. 

With a deep-rooted passion for education that spans over two decades, I bring a wealth of experience to this role. I am proud to say that my entire career has been devoted to serving the students of Clayton County. During my time in Clayton County, I had the privilege of serving as the Assistant Principal at Harper Elementary for six years. This invaluable experience allowed me to gain insights into the inner workings of a successful school community and collaborate with a talented team of educators who shared my unwavering commitment to student achievement. 

For the past four years, I served as the principal of Lee Street Elementary. This role provided me with an opportunity to lead a team in creating an environment where students thrived academically, socially, and emotionally. As your new Principal, I firmly believe that parental involvement is a crucial component of a successful educational experience. I encourage each and every one of you to actively participate in your child's education, whether it be through volunteering, attending school  events, or engaging in open dialogue with our staff. Your support and partnership are invaluable in ensuring the success of our students, and I am committed to providing opportunities for involvement that suit the diverse needs and schedules of our families. 

Open communication between home and school is vital in creating a collaborative and nurturing environment for our students to thrive. I strongly encourage you to reach out to our staff with any questions, concerns, or insights you may have. Together, we can work as a united front to provide the best possible educational experience for our children.  

In the coming weeks, I look forward to meeting each and every one of you personally, as well as listening to your hopes, dreams, and aspirations for your children. Together, we will create a vibrant, inclusive, and student-centered learning community that prepares our students for future success.  Thank you for entrusting us with your children's education. I am excited about the journey ahead and the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our students together.
