Dear Edmonds Elementary School Families,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at Edmonds Elementary School! We are excited to welcome everyone back to school for in-person site-based learning. We know that the beginning of this school year will be unlike any other and we are busy preparing to welcome the community back. Our theme for the 2022-2023 school year is Thinking Forward to the Future!
Many of us have been through a transition like any other experienced in our lifetime. We have faced and endured many additional challenges as we re-open, restart, and reinvent our face-to-face learning experience. There is no doubt that the Edmonds Elementary community will rise above and reclaim the academic excellence demonstrated prior to the COVID -19 pandemic. We can do this by emphasizing consensus with the school’s decision making, collaboration around the comprehensive school improvement plan, and No-Fault once our collective decisions have produced a school result.
Let’s continue to support each other and maintain a positive outlook in the best interest of the students we serve daily. I want to assure you that as we move forward to fully opening schools, you can count on Edmonds to keep you informed. We will work to ensure that our students have all of the resources needed to maximize their potential, while we provide high quality teaching and learning. Our work will continue to align with our vision and mission of building strong and meaningful relationships with our students and providing rigorous and effective instruction for our students. We will bridge together what we know and have learned to be true about best teaching practices. We will continue to prioritize instructional time in order to give our students what they need to meet the vision of Clayton County Public schools and become lifelong learners.
